Big Island Blend From Java Dawg Coffee Review

  • I picked up some coffee from Java Dawg after having a panic attack because I am running seriously low on coffee.

I decided to try their Big Island Blend coffee which is a blend of blend of secret beans.

    From their website:

Grown in the rich volcanic soil surrounding the smoking Kona Volcano (visible to the southwest), Kona coffee is one of the very finest and, unfortunately, one of the most expensive coffees available. It is so costly that few can afford to enjoy it’s medium body and smooth, velvety finish on a daily basis. That’s why we have blended together some of the finest arabica beans to recreate the taste and aroma of this great coffee.

The aroma is mellow, with some brightness to it. So far, it smells like a good morning coffee or even late night coffee.

The taste is even better. There’s a fruitiness to the cup with some brightness and nuttiness mixed in. This coffee carries a medium body with a velvety smoothness.

As the coffee cools, there’s like a spice or something that’s coming through. I can’t put my finger on it.

I am noticing a lingering hint of smokiness on my tongue as well.

Overall, I am really liking this coffee. I’d give this coffee a 3.5 out of 5 cups.
