Blue Horse Kona Medium Roast Coffee Review

  • Blue Horse Kona is the second coffee I got from ROASTe.com using their ebeans I had collected.

This is the medium roast from Blue Horse Kona which has a

Complex fragrant notes with a lingering bittersweetness. A woody aroma seeps right from your nose through your veins. Hints of almonds and vanilla. Medium brown with few oily specks & drops.

This has been on my list for awhile now so when I had the chance to order it I was very excited. I have had some great Hawaiian Kona coffees lately and I am hoping this will be another one I can add to my favorites list.

From the aroma I get a woody sweetness with a hint of almond. Just an all around great aroma.

My tongue was struck with a wonderfulness just from the first sip. The first thing I notice is the woody note which is the most well known note in the coffee. Behind that is a nice bitter-sweetness. There is a woody like aftertaste that lingers around that’s not the most pleasing, but still not bad at all.

This is a coffee worth checking out. It’s not as great as some of the other Kona coffees I have had, but it still is an exceptional coffee that just hit my favorites list.

Overall, I’d give this a 3.75 out of 5 cups.

You can grab a 6oz bag of this for $13.95
