Bolivia Yungas From Sweetwater Organic Coffee Review

  • I can’t remember my experience the first time I tried coffee from Sweetwater Organic Coffee. I was just getting into drinking fresh coffee and I was still using half and half. Don’t judge.

I can say that my experience this time has been positive this time around. Bolivia Yungas Full City was the roast that caught my eye. It is also a Fairly Traded Organic coffee.

    From the bag.

“Hazelnut, caramel, milk chocolate, ripe mango and berry – sweet delicious, full bodied cup!“

From opening the bag there was more of a mellow aroma coming at me.

I could smell the coffee as it was brewing in my French Press. It had a smoothness to it with a chocolate note.

The aroma was a little on the mellow side, but I could detect this smoothness with a dark chocolate note, along with a hazelnut note that started to appear.

In the first sip, I was greeted with a slightly brighter acidity that sweetened out. Maybe a little brighter than I would have liked, but still very good. This coffee also has a nice body to it.

After that, I could taste the hazelnut note which was starting to become unmistakable. The dark chocolate note follows behind that seems to be more pronounced in the aftertaste.

This was truly a good coffee. Smooth, a little on the brighter side, yet nutty and chocolaty.

    I’d give this a 4 out of 5 cups.

You can grab a 1lb of this for $10.95 plus shipping.

Sounds like an interesting coffee. First time hearing of this brand. I like when I’m beginning to think that I’ve tried everything, posts like this remind me that there’s a whole lot more.

There’s a few more companies in the Florida area I want to try. Not limiting myself to Florida roasters, but for when I need coffee QUICK they sure get here fast.

Sweetwater Organic has a ton of coffees I want to try. They all sound soo delicious.
