Brazil ‘Moreninha Formosa’ From CoffeeAM Review

  • I’ve been keeping an eye on CoffeeAM for a couple weeks now. Looking at their lists of coffees trying to figure out what I wanted to try first.

One of the coffees I ordered was the Brazil ‘Moreninha Formosa’ which is a light roast.

This hand picked coffee has been dried on African sun beds which increase the end flavor. Surprise your taste buds with the dark chocolate-cherry essence and a hint of orange that will emerge with it’s light roast. Enjoy a thick chewy mouthfeel and a full body while maintaining a sweet cup with a gentle hint of nuttiness.

Upon opening the package I noticed that they personalized each bag of coffee with my name on it along with what kind of coffee it is. A nice little touch to make it feel a little more personal.

The first thing I noticed in the coffee was a bright sweetness coming at me with a chocolate note behind it. The aroma was as strong as I would have expected it to be, but overall it smelt good.

Upon taking a sip I noticed a delightful brightness with a chocolate tone right after. After you take a sip you are greeted with this delicious nuttiness that comes out of nowhere and just lingers on your tongue for a moment. An orange note starts to emerge after the coffee starts to cool.

For a light roast coffee it sure packs the right amount of flavor to make this one very pleasing cup of coffee.

I’d give this a 3.5 out of 5 cups.

You can grab a pound of this for $10.95
