Coffee Flavor Wheel

  • A chart that I saw when I got into coffee reviewing. It’s pretty helpful when you have that flavor note on the tip of your tongue, but you can’t think of it.

I agree! It’s really helpful when I can’t think of how to describe what I’m tasting. However, I also like to use my own words and descriptions, words that I think some coffee “experts” might disagree with like it tasted like “honey nut cheerios.” Not my description, but a good example and one of my favorites ever.

I agree with using your own words and descriptions as well, but for beginner’s like me I think it’s okay. I just try not to rely on it.
