Cold Brewed Coffee Series: Secret Squirrel Cold Brew Coffee

Not too long ago Secret Squirrel Brew was very kind to send me some of their cold brew. I was so excited to get my hands on it that when I did, it was gone within a few short days. When I took that first sip or gulp I should say, I realized I had something pretty delicious on my hands. So good in fact that I drank the whole bottle before I took notes on it. Of course I recalled my thoughts from memory, but it just wasn’t enough.I finally made an order to get this back into my house and get a full review for you folks.
Thoughts
Am I dreaming or am I in Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory here. Okay, that’s stretching it, but this cold brew has the biggest chocolate flavor going on. Its chocolate insanity, a chocolate bomb, chocolate galore. This cold brew is so smooth and so gosh darn delicious that you’ll wish to have this on a constant tap. Every once in a while I noticed a mild touch of acidity in this cold brew, not like a sour type of acidity, but think citrus.Secret Squirrel Cold brew is very balanced. I didn’t notice the cold brew breaking down as it sat in my fridge for a week. (Experimenting purposes only) I was expecting to see it break down after just a few short days of having it, but the taste never changed… Not once.
Even with a touch of milk, yes I added milk to my coffee, I found that even the milk didn’t over power or block the taste of the cold brew. In fact, I found the milk to be quite delicious adding a nice creaminess to it, as well as blending with the intense chocolate play making it like drinking milk chocolate with a touch of almonds.
Verdict
Listen close as this will probably be the only and only time you will ever see me say this… This has to be one of the cleanest tasting cold brew concentrates I have ever tasted. Even after a few days of it being in the fridge, it showed no signs of slowing down or getting stale.I highly suggest giving this cold brew a shot.
