Don’t Let Irene Put A Damper On Your Coffee Fun Emergency Checklist

First off, happy Saturday folks. Hope everyone is keeping safe with Irene on the loose. Don’t go crazy and try to play outside while she’s lurking around the corner. You don’t want to mess with Irene.Anyways, I’ve seen a lot of tweets on Twitter about emergency coffee kits. Who has theirs set up and who is slacking? I for one am slacking which I know will come back to haunt me, but I’ll worry about that at a later time.
Now, I know I am a little late, but I thought I’d throw up a quick checklist anyways to help anyone who will be dealing with the effects of Irene soon. Also, this is good for future hurricanes or any other disasters that may come around.
DON’T LET IRENE PUT A DAMPER ON YOUR COFFEE FUN CHECKLIST:
- Coffee. Coffee. Coffee. (At least 2lbs is good, but 3lbs is better.)
- Manual grinder (If you can’t find a manual grinder locally then it might be a good idea to get some ground up ahead of time.) Desperate times call for desperate measures.
- Gas burner, grill or, anything that does not need electricity obviously
- Bottled water
- Coffee brewer such as a Hario V60, French press, Aeropress, etc.
- Filters for brewing equipment of choice
- A friend (May want to kidnap your best friend to hunker down with you and to enjoy the coffee with) PS; I did not just suggest kidnapping. Nope.
Anything else I forgot? Head down below to the comments and add your emergency coffee kit essentials.
Remember to be safe first and foremost.
