Esmeralda Special Mario Pascu From Klatch Coffee Review

In one of my previous posts I said I had some new coffee’s coming in. Well, I have been drinking those new coffees and have decided that I am ready to review a coffee from Klatch.I bought Esmeralda Special Mario Pascu which is a limited roast $37.95 for 10oz bag from GoCoffeeGo.
Upon opening the bag I noticed an aroma I couldn’t place. After a few minutes of trying to figure it out I realized the aroma of the beans reminded me of pizza goldfish, and some kind of spice. Yes, it’s an odd smell, but that’s what it reminded me off. I am guessing the wood aroma they talk about on the bag is more correct to the smell that I am getting than pizza goldfish, but hey I am not saying its a bad thing.
The smell caught me off guard a bit, but I realized that this was going to make for an interesting cup of coffee and an interesting review.
Upon first taste, I was greeted with a bright fruity flavor, but with a hint of sweetness to it. It reminds me of a brighter flavored tea with a cocoa flavor added to the mix. The coffee is light, but it still stands out with it’s odd aroma of the beans, and then being a very bright, but smooth tasting coffee.
As for a rating, I would for sure give it a 4 out of 5 cups. This is something I would love to buy again if my bank allows me to do so.
