Ethiopia Amaro Gayo From Wyo Toads Java Review

The last time I had Ethiopia Amaro Gayo was when I roasted it myself. Overall, it was a very interesting coffee.Todd from Wyo Toads Java sent me a sample of some Amaro Gayo to try. I am very excited to compare my notes from my roast to what I think of his.
When I got some brewed up, I started to notice some of the same notes in my roast appearing. A sweet lush berry note that reminds me of a grape jelly, chocolate, and more.
The sweet and lush berry note carries through the cup and kind of takes over the coffee. It has such a delicious taste you just don’t want it to go away.
Digging deeper into my taste buds, I notice there are some fruity notes coming at me along with a hint of chocolate. The acidity is on the mellow side almost as if the coffee has gone stale, but is actually very fresh.
I noticed my coffee seemed to have a heavier body and a little more acidity to it whereas this one seemed to have more of a medium body and less acidity.
Overall, I still really like this coffee and would give it a 3.5 out of 5 cups.
