Ethiopian Sidamo From Peace Coffee Review

The Yetti Cold Press was a definite coffee to talk about. I was very impressed with how that coffee tasted so I couldn’t wait to dive into Ethiopian Sidamo. This Ethiopian Sidamo is a limited light roast that is
An exciting & well balanced cup full of fruity, floral aroma & sweet notes of marmalade and spice.
It’s been awhile since I’ve had any Ethiopian coffees. For me, Ethiopian coffees are like a rare desert. I might get it every once in awhile.
The aroma starts off bright and fruity. I am detecting lemon notes, hints of caramel, and spice. Now to take a big slurp.
Holy acidity! Now that my tongue is fully awake, the first thing I am getting some obvious lemon notes, hints of caramel, and some spice. Mixed with the lemon and acidity, I am getting a fruity citrus play which could be the orange marmalade, but I can’t tell for sure. There might even be some chocolate hiding in there.
The aftertaste carries a slight lingering sweet caramel note which is more present as the coffee cools, but then seems to disappear after a few moments leaving a very clean aftertaste.
This is a bright Sidamo packed with lots of flavors. Overall, I thought it might be too bright for me, but I’m really liking the brightness of the acidity and the mellow flavors combined this coffee.
I also tried this coffee cold and was more than impressed. Think frozen fruit bomb. Delicious, delicious coffee.
I’d give this a 4.25 out of 5 cups.
You can grab some of this for $10.95 a lb. Hurry and grab this before it’s gone.
