Indian Yelnoorkhan Estate Mist Natural Home Roast Thoughts

  • I bought this coffee more on a whim, and didn’t read to much about it. I wasn’t sure what to expect from this coffee.

After roasting to the beginning of the 2nd crack, I began cooling the coffee. I then waited a couple days to rest before tasting.

I was actually excited to try the coffee after smelling the beans. A sweet nutty aroma came out, and reminded me of this Yellow Caturra Maui I had roasted up.

When the coffee was done brewing in my French Press, I noticed the coffee had an overall mellow aroma with hints of chocolate and nutty notes.

I took a sip, and was hit with a smooth medium body with a chocolate and nutty note mixed in. There is a slight citrus play that is coming through.

A lingering nutty, and chocolate goodness took over my tongue.

Overall, I was surprised by this coffee. I wasn’t sure whether or not I would like this, but it sure hit the favorites spot. I feel this coffee is best as a mellow morning coffee, or as a after dinner kind of coffee.
