Island Of St. Helena ‘green tipped’ Bourbon From Coffee & Tea LTD Review

I heard from a user on Twitter raving about Coffee & Tea LTD and that they had some great coffee that I should check out. I couldn’t wait to order. When I got to their site I noticed they have a list of featured coffees, plus a .PDF file with even more coffee that you can buy. With tons of options I didn’t know what to choose until I saw Island of St. Helena ‘green tipped’ Bourbon which is the 3rd rarest coffee.
Island of St. Helena is carries a “delicate acidity, great balance, full body, and is a full city roast”
This delicate bean, medium roasted has a high lively acidity, with good balance and good body. This coffee has a superb fragrant bouquet with no off flavors and pleasant floral fruity hints of citrus and caramel strongly hinting of its Yemeni.
The smell from the beans had a definite dark roast characteristic with a balanced sweetness to it. Overall, the beans had a wonderful aroma.
After the coffee was done brewing I was greeted with this wonderful aroma. A spice like aroma that infused into my nose. It reminded me of licorice in a way. The aroma was like nothing I had smelt before in a coffee.
The taste was this same wonderful spice with a darkness underneath it. There’s an ever so hint of a fruity note in the coffee. I started to get a smoothness with a chocolaty background coming through the coffee as it cooled a little more.
I am in heaven with this coffee. This is a coffee worth waking up to, drinking in the afternoon and basically drinking any time of the day.
At $24.00 for 1/4lb. this is one coffee that is worth trying.
I’d give this a 4.25 out of 5 cups.
