Kona Cloud Dark Roast Coffee Review




  • Kona Cloud Coffee was very gracious to send me some coffee for review. I am going to be reviewing the Kona Cloud Dark Roast.

    When I opened the bag, I had to take a second look to make sure this was in fact a dark roast. This smelt nothing like what most of the dark roast coffees I’ve smelt before.

    There was a wonderful inviting aroma like nothing I had smelt before. Underneath you could tell this was truly a dark roast coffee, but it just smelt amazing.

    Characterized by an unmistakable aroma this hearty brew has a full bodied taste with no bitter after taste.

    The aroma of the coffee was smooth, rich, dark, and had a very faint smokiness. I was beginning to already like this coffee before I even had a sip of it.

    The taste was even greater. It’s smooth and rich, with that faint smokiness to it. There’s a bit of a darkness that lingers on your tongue, but nothing unpleasant at all. I am noticing a slight fruitiness or brightness in the cup that comes through as the coffee cools.

    This coffee has honestly changed my feelings for dark roasts.

    I’d have to give this coffee a 4.5 out of 5 cups.
