Review: Snowshoe Brew From Peace Coffee

When cold weather strikes, you want something to make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. I’m talking a cup of coffee here. And a good one at that.It was no surprise that I ordered from Peace Coffee after seeing a current offering for a winter seasonal blend called Snowshoe Brew.
The first two coffees I ever had from them were Yeti Cold Press and Ethiopian Sidamo. I was instantly hooked after that. They are a company that you just can’t help coming back to. Why wouldn’t you? All their coffee is Fair Trade and Organic Certified, and it tastes great too.
Snowshoe Brew is said to be:
A sweet, smooth blend with a robust, spicy flavor. Warming for blustery days.
It may not be snowing here in Florida, but it is cold enough for any Floridian that’s lived here long enough to hate the cold already. This coffee seemed like the perfect fit to help me warm up on these cold days.
When you open the bag a chocolate note flows out. If you dig a little deeper you can detect some spice notes floating around.
While it was brewing I started to notice some slight earthy mustiness play. I wasn’t sure what to think but I waited until the coffee was done so my tongue could decide.
This coffee carries a nice medium body. As the coffee coats your palate you can taste sweet chocolate notes, nutty hints, and a lively spicy note. As the coffee cooled I was surprised to find a candy like fruity note and what tastes like hints of floral.
A lingering cocoa play can be found in the aftertaste.
Forget the cold weather and snow days. This is the kind of coffee I’d like to drink every day.
Overall, very delicious. This was a coffee that is smooth, sweet, and keeps you wanting more. I was definitely surprised by this one.
I’m giving this a 4.5 out of 5 cups.
This coffee will run you $10.95 a lb. so grab some while you can.
