Starbucks VIA Colombia Medium Roast Review
I decided to buy some Starbucks VIA while getting a serious caffeine fix. I’ve heard many bad reviews and a few Starbucks lovers who say that they love these little ready brews. I wanted to try these to see what these tasted like. Already ground coffee is a big no no and so is instant coffee, but I guess I am holding out that there’s a possibility that these things might be good.This one I am reviewing is the Colombian Medium Roast.
From the smell I do get a very mild aroma. It smells like most Starbucks drinks without the burnt smell.
The taste is different than what I expected from instant coffee. I’ve had instant coffee as a kid and I will never forget what instant coffee tastes like. This tastes nothing like instant coffee, but it doesn’t taste that great either.
The coffee has a definite stale taste to it and the aftertaste is the same stale flavor that just won’t go away.
There’s a bitterness that I am getting from the coffee that I really do not like. Overall, the Colombian Medium Roast is a no go.
I can’t really say anything more on this. It’s really just not good.
I’d give them a 2 out of 5 cups for effort though.
