Surfing Safari From Boca Java Review

  • Boca Java is a coffee company more well known for their flavored coffees. They have some unusual flavored coffees as well as some very tasteful sounding ones.

I decided to review Surfing Safari which is one of the more pleasing sounding coffees they have to offer.

Inspired by delicious flavors of the tropics, Surfing Safari has a base that’s full-bodied and complex infused with a combination of mouthwatering vanilla, caramel and decadent Kahlua. A delightful taste experience unlike any other.

The moment you open the bag you are greeted with an intense vanilla and Kahlua aroma that fills the room. It’s such a pleasing aroma for flavored coffee.

Let’s see how the taste compares to the aroma.

From the first sip I get a smooth coffee with hints of vanilla and Kahlua. There is some sweetness mixed with bitterness to the coffee.

The bitterness is a little unpleasant. It’s almost like drinking coffee that sat on the burner too long. As the coffee cools some more it seems the bitterness simmers down a little.

The first time I had this I was using creamer and I remembered the coffee being a lot better than this.

The aroma of the coffee is amazing, but the coffee itself just isn’t holding up.

Overall I’d give this a 2.75 out of 5 cups.
