The Greatest Coffee Review

  • I am not one for going to coffee places much, but a friend insisted I had to check this place out. The way he talked about this place made it sound great so I made it a point to check it out.

It’s a little shack like place that you can drive up to and order. Prices are very reasonable. They have coffee, latte’s, espresso, smoothies, iced coffee’s, flavorings, you name it.

I came for two things: a coffee, and a Cuban double shot which they ended up mixing with coffee, but that’s okay.

    Let’s start with the coffee.

The coffee I got was called “The Greatest Coffee”. Does it hold up to the name?

The aroma has a somewhat bitter staleness to it. I also am noticing a rubbery smell to it. Not too pleasing at all. Other than that, there’s not too much to the aroma.

As for the taste, that’s a different story. It’s slightly bitter with the same slight rubbery taste, but underneath that it starts to taste like coffee. It does have a pleasant boldness that comes through, but doesn’t stick around long.

Overall, I’d give the coffee a 2.5 out of 5 cups.

Okay, now to the double shot of Cuban espresso mixed with coffee and sugar. I said yes to some sugar because the guy said it was strong. I don’t know what I was thinking.

There’s the same rubbery aroma in the coffee even with the Cuban shots mixed in. Still not pleasant at all. The taste is just as bad. The sugar in coffee is awful, but putting that aside the Cuban shots are weak.

I would not call this good at all. I couldn’t even bring myself to take another sip of it.

Overall, I’d give this a 2 out of 5 cups.

So, it didn’t make the list “The Greatest Coffee,” but maybe some of their other coffee related products or smoothies they offer are a lot better than this.
